A. Introduction

- You must provide evidence that you have a suitable skills assessment for your nominated occupation from the relevant assessing authority.

- The validity of a skills assessment is determined as follows:

  • If no expiry date is listed on the assessment, it is valid for three years from the date of issue.
  • If the expiry date is less than three years, the assessment is valid until the date shown.
  • If the expiry date exceeds three years, the assessment is still only valid for three years from the date of issue.

- The assessing authority will evaluate your qualifications and work experience to determine whether you meet the required skills for your nominated occupation in Australia. While requirements vary by occupation, you should be prepared to submit key evidence such as:

  • Personal identification (e.g., passport)
  • Educational qualifications (e.g., academic transcripts and certificates)
  • Work experience (e.g., written references, employment contracts)
  • Registration or licensing, either overseas or in Australia (if applicable)

  • Subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated Visa
  • Subclass 485 – Temporary Graduate Visa (Graduate Work Stream)
