We boarded the bus to head into the city centre, strolled along the Yarra River, and had lunch nearby. In the afternoon, our hosts came to pick us up and take us to our homestays, where we’ll be staying with local families for the first week to experience daily life with Aussies.

DAY 2
On the second morning of the journey, students completed their placement tests and attended the Orientation session, where they set learning goals, learned class rules, and were guided on how to behave outside the classroom to ensure personal safety—such as using public transport or what to do if they get lost.
The study program is designed to equip students with communication skills, confidence, leadership potential, and cultural adaptation skills for life in Australia.

After class, students had a tour of the school and lunch, lovingly prepared by their host families. In the afternoon, we visited the Royal Botanic Gardens, explored the rich biodiversity, and paid a visit to the sacred Shrine of Remembrance.

DAY 3
Today, students learned about active listening, showing attentiveness in conversations, and were encouraged to take risks and overcome shyness when speaking. At first, many were hesitant. But after a few warm-up activities, they began confidently exchanging ideas with their group mates on everyday topics.

Their progress became more evident when they delivered their own 1-minute presentations.
Parents, take a look at the lovely photos from this morning here!

In the afternoon, we travelled to Chesfield Farm in Scoresby, around 45 minutes from Melbourne Central. The students had a hands-on experience feeding animals like deer, goats, and camels, and even milked a cow themselves. Of course, meeting kangaroos is a must-do in Australia!
It was a fun-filled outdoor adventure!

DAY 4: MELBOURNE MUSEUM
After the morning lessons, we headed to visit the Melbourne Museum in the afternoon—one of the most iconic museums and tourist attractions in Australia, located just north of the Melbourne CBD and adjacent to the Royal Exhibition Building.

Melbourne Museum is not only about natural history and culture but also a blend of the past, present, and future, featuring exhibitions on art, fashion, multimedia, and more.

Students saw the life-sized skeleton of a Blue Whale, massive dinosaur fossils, precious gemstones, and learned about flora and fauna, the origins and evolution of life in Victoria.
